Get Social to Spread the Word!

The 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act is a big deal! It’s not every day we celebrate an amazing legislation that has empowered millions of individuals to live more fulfilling lives. In our ADA 30 content series, we’ve outlined several ways you can honor the Americans with Disabilities Act by improving the accessibility of your digital content your organization’s inclusiveness. Our last (but not least) tip is to get social!

Let your efforts be known on social media

If your organization has put measures in place to help improve its digital accessibility or made strides to create a more inclusive culture, let the world know! Post videos, images, testimonials from your employees, and anything else you want to communicate. Increased communication will boost awareness of digital accessibility and what it means to the people who benefit from it.

Use official hashtags

Spread the word about how the ADA has impacted your life using the hashtag #ThankstotheADA. Or just show your support by retweeting what others have posted. There is no effort that’s too small to make an impact, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

Learn about the people the ADA has helped

TPGi has interviewed individuals with disabilities who have generously shared their challenges and triumphs related to their disabilities. These people are the reason the ADA exists and what inspires us.

The best way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ADA is to uphold it and push for greater inclusiveness in your organization. If you need help with your digital accessibility, don’t hesitate to contact us today!
