Web Accessibility Training for Developers
Whether developing rich internet applications or desktop software, or creating complex interaction for web sites, web accessibility training for developers provides the skills required to support accessibility without compromising on features or project deadlines. TPG developer courses are created and delivered by software professionals with years of experience in working with teams to achieve compliance.
Experience Over Presentation
As with our Q/A testing training, we provide hands-on, practical experience in testing accessibility issues in our developer courses. This provides direct experience of the assistive technologies, such as screen readers and screen magnifiers, as well as the relevant compliance standards. Developers carry out tests on sample systems as well as their own projects while instructors monitor and assist.
As well as demonstrations of use cases, TPG can also provide worked solutions of the client's own software or widgets during the course. We also allow time in the last part of the course for more open discussion and a chance to ask the instructor about specific issues.
Topics typically covered in our developer courses include:
- Relevant accessibility issues.
- Use of ARIA in Rich Internet Applications.
- Keyboard accessibility.
